The Amazing Rolo

Sound, music, art, interaction.

Ces murs

Directed by Fabrice Macaux, and starring Delphine Zucker and Yann Seznec, “Ces murs qui nous écoutent” (“The walls have ears”) told the tale of one woman’s battle to save her books and sanity against overwhelming intellectual oppression. Loosely based on the novel by Spôjmaï Zariâb, the stage featured a giant steel cube, which turned to represent different locations in the world of Sarah, the main character.

Yann Seznec (that’s me) created live sound design and music to accompany each performance, manipulating the sounds using custom Max/MSP patches, a Wii remote, and Ableton Live.

The play was performed at the Lavoir Moderne Parisien in March 2008.
