The Amazing Rolo is Yann Seznec – an artist, musician and founder of Edinburgh creative studio Lucky Frame. His work focuses on sound, music, physical interaction, games, and instruments.
His work has been shown recently at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Inspace, Chapter Cardiff, AND, MIT Media Lab, CCA Glasgow, Mediamatic Amsterdam, and the Hannah Maclure Gallery, and he is currently on tour with Matthew Herbert’s One Pig Live show. One Pig has toured globally, playing in Tokyo, Berlin, London, Paris, and more.
He founded Lucky Frame when his Wii Loop Machine software hack gained attention on the internet, resulting in a (failed) appearance on Dragons’ Den. More recently his company has attracted awards and investment from the British Council, Creative Scotland, and Channel 4, resulting in a series of critically acclaimed creative music games for iOS.
Musically, Yann performs electronic music under the name The Amazing Rolo, and records and performs original American folk music with his brother Cory as The Seznec Bros.
